Campus Connect Training Program

    "Campus Connect" is Infosys initiated student-training program started with an intention to shape the students of Engineering to industry ready products, at the time when they come out of their colleges as Graduates. Infosys has prepared the courseware and given their portal for staff and students. Under "Campus Connect" program every college, which has tie-up with Infosys, has to train their students with the courseware supplied by the Infosys. This is done with a view to meet the global demand for Software Engineers in the coming years.

    The program, amongst others, includes a walkthrough of the generic courses (eg. Computer Hardware and System Software Concepts, Programming Fundamentals, Relational Database Management Systems, Analysis of Algorithms, Introduction to Object Oriented Concepts, Introduction to User-Interface design and Introduction to Web Architecture and Client Server Computing), a walkthrough of the teaching aids, and a framework that ensures an integrated understanding and an assorted set of industry oriented topics.

Benefits:

    Infosys will give certificate to those who appear for the examination after the completion of course.

    •Increase employability by providing technical and soft skills through Industry oriented- courseware and Technology(to be thorough with the basics).

    •Access to Project bank through Infosys Portal.

    •Access to Courseware through Infosys Portal.

    •Encouraging the students to visit to Infosys Campuses.

    •Relaxation in percentage for eligibility in the Infosys Campus interviews for those who are missing by small margins.

    •Reward for top 10 students in each Batch (Top five will be rewarded by Infosys and next five from the College). Batch size is limited to only 50 members.

About 337 students have been trained in the first year. Subsequently in the next slot 160 students have undergone training and now 353 students have already registered for the current year.

    3.Has sponsored Rs 25,000=00 to Mr. Harish K S, dept of CS&E to present a paper in the International Conference at Boston University, Boston, USA.

    4.Has sponsored Rs 17,000=00 to Smt. Nirmala C R, dept of CS&E to present a paper in the International Conference at Katmandu, Nepal.

    5.Has sponsored Rs 17,000=00 to Sri. Krishnamurthy G.N., dept of IS&E, as a Registration expenses to present a paper in the International Conference on Computer, Information, Systems Sciences and Engineering, from 4th to 14th December 2006, University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, USA.
