as been nominated as Member , board of committee to inspect Narayana Hrudayalaya Institute of cardiac Sciences

CSIR New Delhi awarded research project to Dr. Mohan Kumar Prof. & Head Mechanical Engg. On topic entitled” Development of areca fiber reinforced maize composite as alternate/substitute material for wood particle boards

 IBM-BITES in association with Government of Karnataka sponsored implementation of E-governance project “General Hospital Management-developed in JAVA” This was carried out under the guidance of Smt.C.R.Nirmala. This project won a prize & IBM awarded IBM X-Series Server to the college, Rs.10,000.00 cash prize along with the citation to the guide and rupees 5000/- cash prize and citation to each member of the team.

Dr. Murugesh Babu K of textile department was invited by the Biomedical scientists of an UK based company oxford biomaterials ltd, Newbury to carry out joint research on silk based biomaterials for biomedical applications. In this research inputs were given by Dr. Babu to develop natural silk based biomaterials such as absorbable sutures, nerve conduits, heart valves etc for implantation in the human body.

He is again invited by the professors of Hong Kong university to extend the above work for a period of six months and he will be visiting Hong Kong from Feb to June 2007.
