The vision of the M.Tech Programme in Structural Engineering of our Institute is to be preeminent in creating engineering solutions for the industries, infrastructure and the environment and also to achieve national and international recognition through the impact of its research. Our vision includes our department being a collegial, collaborative and welcoming environment in which to learn and work.

01To produce technically sound and practically competent Structural Engineers of global standard.
02To Offer technical consultancy services to government and other state and private organizations.
03Provide and expedite appropriate training programs to students, government and private employees with the view to upgrading and updating their skills.
04To provide research opportunities for students that generate, communicate, and apply new knowledge for the betterment of society.

Dr. Raghu M E

Assistant Professor

Assistant Professor and PG coordinator in structural engineering, with 13 years of teaching. BE in civil engineering at BIET and M.Tech in structural engineering at KLECET Belagavi; his VTU doctorate, awarded in 2024, investigated the effect of adding polymer to the properties of basalt fibre reinforced concrete. He has published 22 research articles, coordinates CIE and SEE examinations at institute level, and has been deputy warden of the BIET boys' hostel since 2024. A life member of ISTE and a member of AMIE, IAENG and the Indian Concrete Institute.
