Roles And Responsibilities of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities.

  • To facilitate the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.

Roles And Responsibilities of Research Advisory Committee

  • To arrange workshop related to Research methodology to create awareness among faculty

  • Assist departments in organizing National and International conferences

  • Insist/motivate the faculty to write proposals to the various funding agencies

Mechanism

The students are the main stakeholders in any institution imparting education, and it is our attempt to make all efforts to ensure transparency in administration and the activities at different stages. The grievances may broadly include the following complaints of the aggrieved students.

  • Academic Grievances: Assessment, Attendance, Victimization, charging of fees, conducting of examinations, completion of syllabus, teaching methods etc.

  • Non-Academic Grievances: Complaints by students, parents and staff can be made in writing or oral to the Principal/ Staff. The complaint is then resolved by discussion in meeting by the committee and if required the aggrieved may be involved.

Mechanism

  • Any woman or girl student of college can file a complaint orally or in written to members of anti-Sexual Harassment Cell/ College internal complaints committee.

  • The complaint shall include the specific nature of the incident, date and the place of the incident, name of all parties involved as well as a detailed report of all pertinent facts.

  • Any oral or written complaint made to the Principal or any of the committee members, same may be forward it to the Chairperson of the Committee.

  • Investigation will be conducted quickly and confidentially

  • The committee in consultation with the management can take the following putative actions.

  • Punitive Action: Depending on the nature and severity of the offence, one or more of the following punitive action(s) may be implemented.

  • For Employees: The punitive action(s) is/are Written apology, Warning, Withholding of increments, Suspension from service, Demotion / transfer to lower / other service, grade or post, Compulsory retirement. Termination of service / Dismissal from service.

Mechanism

In accordance with the supreme court on ragging (2007), the judgment of Supreme Court on ragging (2009) and the UGC/AICTE regulations to curb the menace of ragging (2009) Institute has formed an anti-ragging committee to completely wipe out the menace from the campus/hostel.

  • The Chairman monitors and oversees the performance of anti-ragging squad in prevention of ragging in the institution and Hostels.

  • Every student admitted to the program is asked to submit an on-line affidavit stating that he/she will not indulge in any act of ragging.

  • Posters/ Display boards have been displayed in the campus indicating that ragging is strictly prohibited in the institution and the penalty measures to be taken thereof.

  • List of Anti-ragging committee members along with their personal contact numbers have been displayed on college/Hostel notice board for contact.

Implementation

  • An Anti-ragging squad is nominated by the Principal with the representation from the campus community.

  • It makes surprise visits in girls’ and boys’ common rooms and hostels and other places.

  • It conducts, spot enquiry on incident of ragging.

  • The committee maintains alert vigil at all times and ensures that the Anti- ragging squads of the institution carry out their functions.

  • The Cell is responsible for handling PR activities of the college.
  • The Cell manages the media relations of the institute and keeps the media updated with the happenings at the institute. This primarily involves covering various events of the college, writing press releases, taking photographs and ensuring that each and every event of the college gets its due media coverage.
  • It manages the Official Newsletter (BIETech Voice) of the institute. The cell designs and compiles the official newsletter which contains all the events and happenings of the campus, research papers published and national and international conferences attended by the faculty members.
  • The club provides content for periodic updation of the college’s website.
  • It manages the official Facebook page of college.
