Department organized “Brain Storming Activity-Quiz” for all the students at Department seminar hall. Team 5th Sem won the cash prize.

Department of Chemical Engineering organized an online invited talk on “Overview of GATE Chemical Engineering” for 3rd, 5th and 7th Semester students on 24th November 2022. Dr. M. Subramanian, Professor, Dept of Chemical Engg, SSN College of Engineering, Chennai was the resource person.

Sri Kshitij Basavaraj delivered a lecture on “Scope and Opportunities for higher studies in foreign universities”.

webinar on "Innovations through design thinking"

Nirmana 1.0, Virtual Project Exhibition-2021 was held on 13th August 2021. Project exhibition aims to provide students to showcase their ideas and bring the innovations to life. Students from 10 departments of BIET participated in the project exhibition. There were 4 groups based on commonalities in subjects.
The virtual inauguration was started at 9.15 AM. Mr. Sreenath Kalamadani, DGM, Mercedes Benz India inaugurated the exhibition. He spoke on need of internship and projects in students placements. Prof. Y. Vrushabhendrappa, Director, Dr. H.B. Aravinda, Principal spoke on the occasion. Dr. Kalleshappa C.M proposed vote of thanks.
Exhibition at the department level started at 10.15 AM. There were three projects selected from Chemical Engg Department for exhibition.
1. Production of Biodiesel from used cooking oil
2. Extraction of silver from used X-Ray film
3. Extraction of Tamarind seed Oil as Potential Alternative fuel for Sustainable Green Environment
Sri. Kshitij Basavaraj, Director, PSK Pharma, Harihar was the expert to evaluate the projects. Dr. Kalleshappa C.M welcomed the expert, presentation of project was done. Extraction of silver from used X-Ray film was adjudged the best project in the group. Exhibition ended with vote of thanks.
